Ron and Royâs father.. Morell Carlton (Morey) Brown was born at Avenel Victoria in 1874. Morell was 16 years old when he arrived in Morven N.S.W. with his older brother Jefferson, about 1891. Morell and Jefferson were contracted to cut sleepers for the Railway. This line went from Culcairn to Corowa, after this work had finished Morell took up contract fencing. Morell Carlton Brown married Louisa Emily Lord on the 17th of May 1898 at St. Paulâs Church of England at Germanton, (now called Holbrook). Morell and Louisa had 10 children. Ron and Royâs mother.. Louisa Emily Lord was born at Warracknabeal Victoria in 1880. Louisa arrived in Morven with her parents and siblings when she was 16 years old. Louisa was 18 years old when she married Morell Carlton Brown in 1898. Morell Carlton (Morey) Brown died in the Culcairn Hospital on the 7th of November 1953, he was 79 years old. Louisa Emily Brown, nee Lord died in the Culcairn Hospital on the 21st of June 1960, she was 79 years old, Morell and Louisa were buried in the Culcairn cemetery |
