Sarah was born at St. Mary’s, Nottingham England in 1831 to parents Thomas Biddle and Rosetta Bignell. Sarah married John Holder. John was born at Burfields, Berkshire County, England in 1825, to parents John and Mary Holder. Sarah Biddle and John Holder lived at Burfields, Berkshire County after they were married. Sarah and John along with their two year old daughter Sarah Ann arrived in Sydney Australia in 1853, on the ship ‘The Bussorah’. The Holder family settled at Lake Albert, south of Wagga Wagga.
