Note: FUNERAL MR. J. GILLAKD FUNERAL MR. J. GILLAKD The funeral of Mr. John Gillard, of 35 Murray street, Wagga, who died at his residence on Saturday, after a short illness at the age of 58 years, took place in Wagga yesterday. The cortege left St. John's Church of England after a service conducted by the Veil. Archdeacon S. J. West. The interment was in the Church of England portion of the Wagga cemetery, where Archdeacon West officiated at the grave side. The casket was carried by Messrs. Stanley and Arthur Gillard (sons), Tom Gillard (brother), William Gillard and E. T. Smith (nephews), and John Brooker (cousin). The floral tray was carried by Messrs. H. Condon, V. Raye. Walter Lockwood and V. Guy. The chief mourners at the graveside were Mrs. Gillard (widow), and Messrs. John, Arthur and Stanley Gillard (sons), Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Chessell (brother-in-law and sister), Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gillard (brother and sister-in-law), William Gillard, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Smith, Allan Gillard (nephews and niece), Mrs. Stanley Gillard (daughter-in-law), Mrs. W. Gillard (niece), and many friends who were present from all parts of Wagga and district. Among the many floral tributes were wreaths from the staff of Great Southern Motors, Hardys Pty. Ltd. factory employees, Messrs. Olsen and Sons. Wagga. Childowlah fishing cobbers, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Soulos and staff of the White Rose Cafe, Wagga, Wagga Gun and Rifle Clubs, Messrs. Miles and Russell and The Wagga Gun and Rifle Clubs were represented by Mr. Ray Hall, of Wagga, and the following members of the M.U. I.O.O.F. Lodge were also present: Messrs. P. O Smith (assistant secretary). H. W. Carpenter. F. A. C. Fearne, M. Glllman. E. Waters, W. W. Wild, K. E. Mohr, J. Wilson, P. A. Dowsett, D. C. Lennon, J. Lockett, R. F. Hiscock and A. A. Martin.
