Note: Obituary Obituary ANOTHER of the pioneers of this district passed away at South Gundagai on Saturday at the advanced age of 87 years after a short illness, in the person of Mr. Nathaniel Boon who was widely known throughout the district. The late Mr. Boon, who had been a resident in Gundagai and the vicinity for over 50 years, was born in the Campbelltown district in 1824, but when still a young man he came to these parts, and spent some 33 years on Tarrabandra, subsequently removing to South Gundagai, where he resided during the two years prior to his death. The deceased gentleman was twice married, and he leaves a widow who is over 80 years of age. His first wife died some 45 years ago, and some years later he married his second wife who was a Mrs Plows. He leaves The funeral took place yesterday, the remains being interred in the Church of England cemetery. The service was read by Rev. W. Parkes. Obituary ANOTHER of the pioneers of this district passed away at South Gundagai on Saturday at the advanced age of 87 years after a short illness, in the person of Mr. Nathaniel Boon who was widely known throughout the district. The late Mr. Boon, who had been a resident in Gundagai and the vicinity for over 50 years, was born in the Campbelltown district in 1824, but when still a young man he came to these parts, and spent some 33 years on Tarrabandra, subsequently removing to South Gundagai, where he resided during the two years prior to his death. The deceased gentleman was twice married, and he leaves a widow who is over 80 years of age. His first wife died some 45 years ago, and some years later he married his second wife who was a Mrs Plows. He leaves The funeral took place yesterday, the remains being interred in the Church of England cemetery. The service was read by Rev. W. Parkes.
