HENRY ANGEL. The last journey of one of Wagga's oldest pioneers was carried out.yesterday afternoon, when a large numher of prominent citizens, friends and relatives followed the earthly remains of Mr. Henry Angel, from his daughter's residence (Mrs. C. Inglis), Collins street, to the Wagga Cemetery, where the body was buried in the Church of England portion. The Vea Archdeacon Pike officiated at the grave side. He made a feeling reference to the life of the, deceased. as a pioneer of Riverina. The chief mourners' at his graveside were Mesdames Chas. Inglis, Wagga; A. E. Thompson, Grenfell, Renehan, Cootamnndra; A. Harding, Wagga; Miss Alma Angel, Sydney, daughters; Messrs. Ernest Angel, Cooma; Sidney Angel, Wagga, sons; Jas. Cunningham, Wagga, step-son; Samuel Angel, Wagga, brother. The coffin was borne by the following: â Messrs. Ernest Angel, (son), R. J. Cunningham (step-son); A. E. Thompson (son-in-lnw), H. J. C. Inglis, B. Inglis, and D. M. Inglis (grandsons). Pallbearers: Messrs. Chas. Inglis (son-in-law), S. Angel - brother, L. Angel (nephew), A. Harding (son-in-law) C. S. Angel (grandson), George F. Seckold (representative of the MUIOOF) In additional to the abovementioned, the deceased leaves the following sons and daughters- H. G. Angel, Sydney, Mrs E. Bowkett, Newcastle, daughter, and Mr J. Cunningham, step-son, Cootamundra. Owing to her present state of ill health, the deceased widow was unable to attend. HENRY ANGEL The funeral of Mrs. Ellenor Frances Angel widow of Mr. Henry Angel, of Wagga, and formerly of Lake Albert, took place yesterday afternoon, leaving the residence of her daughter. Mrs. Alfred Harding, Murray street, Wagga. The cortege included a large number of relatives and friends from Grenfell, Lake Albert, Forbes, Picton and Wagga and other places. The Rev. F. Walkden Brown conducted a short service at the house, and those present sang one of Mrs. Angel's favorite hymns, ' Rock of Ages. The internment took place in the family ground in the Church of England Cemetery, Wagga. The carriers were Messrs James Cunningham (son), Albert E. Thompson of Grenfell (son-in-law), Walter Hurst, Henry Inglis, Russell Inglis, and Fred W. Birch. The pall bearers were Messrs Edward. Angel (brother-in-law), Albert Smith, Herbert Ogilvie and Harry Ayscough. The Rev. F. Walkden Brown read the burial service. The chief mourners were Messrs J. E. Cunningham, A. E. Thomson, Mrs. Thomas Walsh (Picton), Mts. M. Renehen, Forbes, Mrs. Alfred Harding (Wagga), daughters, and Mrs. Sidney Angel (daughter-in-law). Among other relatives present were Mrs. C. Inglis, Mr. H. G. Inglis, Mr. Russell Inglis, and Mr. E. J. Angel. The casket was covered with floral tributes. Cause: Accident Note: Two Young Men Killed Two Young Men Killed WILLIAM BOWKETT, 23, of Day Street, Leichhardt was killed, and Miss Davia Martin, 21, of Hobbs Street, Lewisham, suffered concussion on Saturday night when they were struck by a car while, police were told, they were standing along-side their bicycles on Liverpool Road, near Arundle Road, Lansdown DECEASED had his skull, spine and one leg fractured. Miss Martin was taken by Canterbury-Bankstown Ambulance to Western Suburbs Hospital. The driver of the car Alfred Walthers, of Johnstone Road, Upper Bankstown, was unhurt. ANGEL The death took place in Parramatta Hospital last Thursday of Henry George William Angel, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Angel of Lake Albert and Wagga. Mr. Angel spent most of his life in Wagga. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters. Mrs. D. Harding, of 79 Kincaid-street, is a sister. The funeral took place in the Field of Mars Cemetery, Gladesville. Among the beautiful wreaths was one from the Returned Soldiers.
